We are fortunate to live in a little cedar glade, at the end of a dead end road in the beautiful Ozark hills in southwestern Missouri. Here, the air smells like cedar and you can still hear the whip-poor-wills on summer nights, and even hear the wind whisper through the cedars. Here we and our collies enjoy the country life. We love to go for walks with the collies, they are happy to be with you whatever you are doing, even just sitting and soaking up some sunshine! They are the light of our lives, the reason we get up in the morning! We stand at the kitchen window with our morning coffee and watch them outside in the yard playing whichever "collie game" they have decided on for the day, and laugh at their antics. They are our entertainment, our joy! They can sense your mood, good or bad, happy or sad, and they will try to fix it, if it needs fixed, with a kiss or a wag. And the puppies, oh my, you can't take care of a litter of puppies and not laugh or at least smile most of the time. It is not all rosy, of course, they poo on each other, and sometimes they get sick, and they chew on things, they love shoes! but all that pales beside the sweet memories. My computer is full of pictures of puppies, and I get updates from all across the US from people who have adopted one of my little darlings. Sometimes I get pictures of the puppy all grown up, with his or her own puppies! It is a lot of work, but very much worth it. I like to think I am making the world a better, happier place, one collie puppy at a time!
